ABOUT THE CLASS

Logic is the science and art of reasoning well. Reasoning takes place as we draw conclusions from information through logical arguments. Building on the skills developed in Introductory Logic, we will learn the translation and analysis of propositional arguments, with the primary concern of determining the validity of those arguments, the writing of formal proofs of validity and related topics, truth trees, and analyzing the arguments contained in real-life writings: philosophy, theology, and the Bible itself.

Students can expect 3-4 hours of homework per week.

Completion of the textbook is approximately one high school credit.
