This class fulfills high school graduation requirements for a class in government.  For scope and sequence please see the textbook table of contents.  We will follow closely the contents of the Notgrass curriculum, Exploring Government (2023 edition), which includes the textbook and a book of readings entitled, We Hold These Truths. 

Our goal is to cover the material in the textbook through weekly assignments of reading with study questions while focusing on selected topics in more detail at our class meetings.  There will be a few essays and/or written report assignments in addition to the regular textbook assignments.  A major goal of the class will be give students a good understanding of the Biblical principles that are the foundation of good government.  

1. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL BE USING THE 2023 EDITION OF THIS TEXT BOOK: Exploring Government by Ray Notgrass (Copyright 2023) which includes the textbook and a volume of readings entitled We Hold These Truths (Copyright 2016). Parents will not need test booklets.
