About the Class

This class fulfills high school graduation requirements for a class in economics. For scope and sequence please see the textbook table of contents. We will follow closely the contents of the Notgrass curriculum, Exploring Economics, which includes the textbook and a book of readings entitled, Making Choices.

Our goal is to cover the material in the textbook through weekly assignments of reading with study questions while focusing on selected topics in more detail at our class meetings. There will be a few essays and/or written report assignments in addition to the regular textbook assignments.

A major goal of the class will be give students a good understanding of the Biblical principles that are the foundation of good economics.

REQUIRED MATERIALS

1. Textbooks:  Exploring Economics by Ray Notgrass (2016 edition) which includes the volume of readings entitled Making Choices.  (Parents will not need test booklets)
