Astronomy is an amazing opportunity to study the glory of God. And because mankind has studied the heavens for millennia, the study of astronomy connects a great deal to the Humanities as well. In this class we will learn about the major stars, constellations, moon and planets. With each of these we will study their motion, basic navigation and time-keeping, their use in scripture and culture. Along the way, the kids will get a taste of Greek history and mythology, biblical poetry, celestial navigation, and more.

We will use The Book of Astronomy from Memoria Press as our textbook (provided on first day), and there will be a couple of optional evening “meet-ups” to view seasonal constellations throughout the year as a group. Hope to see you in class!
