ABOUT THE CLASS

Bonjour! This year’s theme for Introduction to French is “A Day in The Life.” Students will learn about life for French children in their age group. They will learn about French schools, home-schooling in France, living in different settings (city, country, beach), activities enjoyed by French children (e.g. going to the zoo), and more!

Students will learn French vocabulary associated with each week’s topic. In class we will learn French songs, eat French food, play games, do arts and crafts, and discuss French culture. There will be small assignments occasionally for the older kids. There will be no homework required for third graders. No previous French instruction required.
