Written Communications

Middle school writing will give students a variety of experiences in writing methods and themes that will enable them to meet the needs of high school writing expectations. In this class, students will explore writing with purpose and order, the themes and structures of fictional writing, short fiction and literary analysis, research-based strategies, structured essay responses, and mastering the five-paragraph essay to name a few.

We will close each unit with an opportunity to use the concepts and skills learned applied to their own writing as they learn to develop their skills and find their own writing voice.
