About the Class

High School grade 9/10 will have an in-depth experience with learning a variety of different writing methods and techniques to prepare them for advanced writing in their personal, professional and educational environments. We will study research essays, editing, APA citations, expository essays, persuasive writing, comparison essays, descriptive and narrative works, as well as literary analysis.

Each unit will close with the opportunity to explore the outlining and structure process, writing techniques we’ve studied, peer editing to gain a greater understanding of the editing process and a unit submission of their own writing piece to begin to build their writing portfolio.
