About Jill
Jill Burgess - PreK/Kindergarten
Greetings, families! My name is Jill Burgess and I will be the PreK/Kindergarten teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This will be my third year teaching here at The Journey. My husband, Samuel, and I live in Ellsworth, WI, on a small hobby farm with our three children. We decided to try giving homeschooling a try after I had been a stay-at-home-mom for a few years and we were unsure where to enroll our eldest child during our transition from North Carolina back to Wisconsin. I have a degree in Early Childhood Development from the University of Minnesota-Crookston. Prior to having children, I worked as the Assistant Center Director and Preschool teacher at a learning center in Menomonie, WI. I have always had a love for teaching and being engaged with children and the world around us. I have come to really enjoy teaching and learning beside our children at home. I am so excited to be teaching again this year and offering our youngest class available at The Journey!
